RIYADH, 29 May 2005 — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd is in stable condition and the medical tests he underwent in hospital are reassuring, the royal court said yesterday. It said the king would undergo further tests.

King Fahd was admitted to King Faisal Specialist Hospital here on Friday. Crown Prince Abdullah yesterday reassured King Juan Carlos of Spain, King Abdallah of Jordan and Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Makati about the king’s condition when they telephoned him inquiring about his health.

Also yesterday, Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal told reporters that King Fahd’s condition is stable and reassuring. “Thank God, his condition is stable and the doctors are reassuring us about the subject, and we all pray for his speedy recovery,” he said.
