Women Fight Over Seat in Shopping Mall

MADINAH, 20 June 2005 — Shoppers in one of Madinah’s shopping centers watched a free boxing match between two women over a seat, Al-Watan newspaper reported. The problem started when one of the women refused to remove her bag from a seat for the other woman to occupy. A verbal exchange escalated into a physical fight. The few men who tried to separate them got their share of the beating. The fight continued for ten minutes until police arrived, said the report.
