JEDDAH, 27 June 2005 — Top ranking students of Indian International School-Jeddah (IISJ) were honored at the school’s annual prize distribution ceremony held on Thursday.
Indian Consul General Dr. Ausaf Sayeed, who was the chief guest, said while Osmania and Jamia Milia universities had agreed to conduct their examinations here from next year, negotiations were continuing with the Calicut University for holding its examinations here.
“Such moves will benefit students who cannot return home after completing their 12th grade exam,” the consul general said.
He congratulated the outstanding students at the 12th and 10th board exams and also students of the school who performed exceptionally well in their various class exams.
School Principal E.K. Mohamed Shaffe reviewed the school’s activities over the year and also the performance of students at the recent board exams. “94.1 percent of our students who appeared for 12th grade exam were successful, while the percentage of successful students at the 10th grade exam was as high as 99.4,” he said.
