Yanbu Industrial Signs SR12m Contract

JEDDAH, 30 June 2005 — General manager of the Royal Commission of Yanbu, Mohammed Al-Jowaisser, signed a rent contract with the Progress Center Factory for chemical and construction materials production at the light industries section of Yanbu Industrial City. The factory produces chemicals — such as concrete mixing material, treatment material, connecting material, adhesive material and filling material, and others — used in construction and finishing stages on buildings. The total cost for the factory is SR12 million and will provide 49 job opportunities to Saudis. It is expected to be operational in 2007.
