NEW DELHI, 4 July 2005 — The BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) yesterday announced that it will kickstart its campaign for Bihar Assembly elections on July 11 with a “justice rally” led by its chief ministerial candidate Nitish Kumar.
The first phase of the rally will cover 22 assembly constituencies in six districts of West Champaran, East Champaran, Muzaffarpur, Sitamarhi, Madhubani and Darbhanga, Janata Dal(U) spokesperson Sanjay Verma said here.
JD(U) President George Fernandes, senior party leader Sharad Yadav, BJP General Secretary Arun Jaitley, Bihar BJP and JD(U) presidents Sushil Kumar Modi and Vijendra Yadav and a host of other leaders of the two parties will address meetings at different places during the rally, he said.
Rebel Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) leaders including Narendra Singh would accompany Kumar all through the rally.
