Intel has appointed Abdulrahman Jarrar as regional government affairs manager for its operations in the Middle East, Turkey and Africa. His key role will be to drive Intel’s efforts to help further develop the region’s ICT environment through working with the region’s governments on IT policy as well as working with various players in the private sector. This appointment further demonstrates Intel’s commitment to the Middle East and to working with local governments and institutes to help build the IT infrastructure.
Jarrar started with Intel in 1997 as a senior program manager in the company’s California offices. Before relocating to Dubai in his new role, Jarrar was a senior strategist at Intel, responsible for establishing corporate strategies in Emerging Markets.
