JEDDAH, 16 July 2005 — Saudi Arabia’s International Trading Co. (ITC) has won the agency of Korean firm Tempia Corporation for all its products in the Middle East, Africa and Europe.
An agreement has been signed in this respect by Hassan Mohamed Jamil Al-Dahlawi, chairman of the Saudi company, and Yong Min-kim, chief executive officer of the Korean firm.
Speaking to Arab News, Al-Dahlawi said his company reached the deal with the Korean firm after studying the Saudi market’s requirement for such world-class products.
“We are in the process of establishing more showrooms in attracting locations to market modern equipment required by consumers,” he said.
Al-Dahlawi also spoke about his company’s plan to train young Saudis to help them take up jobs in the market and make use of Korean expertise in the field of technology.
Al-Dahlawi company started its business in the Kingdom as early as 1950s, especially in household equipment. “We have gained confidence to carry out the business once again with the same dynamism,” he added.
Shakeel A. Majeed Deshmukh, sales manager of International Trading Company, said his firm was looking for agents in the Gulf Cooperation Council states and other countries. He also disclosed plans to establish a factory in Saudi Arabia with the support of the Korean company.
