Zamil Steel Wins SR41m Contract

DAMMAM, 29 August 2005 — The steel structures division of Zamil Steel has won a contract for SR41 million ($11 million) to supply manufactured steel structures for the Natural Gas Liquids (NGL) plant under construction in Hawiyah in the Eastern Province, the company announced. Aramco has awarded the Hawiyah project to JGC Corporation of Japan. The plant will provide NGL feed stock to petrochemical complexes in Jubail and Rabigh as well as supply gas to Riyadh power plant. The contract with Zamil begins on March 2006 and will end in November of the same year.
