Effat College Offers Cisco’s IT Courses

JEDDAH, 20 September 2005 — Effat College in coordination with Cisco Networking Academy, a worldwide leader in providing networking solutions for information technology (IT) and Internet, is authorized to operate as a Regional Cisco Academy and train women to become Cisco Certified Network Associates (CCNA).

The college will offer two courses. The first one is a six-month course leading to CCNA and it targets professionals in IT, computer science, and information system graduates. Students who successfully pass the course will earn CCNA certification from Cisco and Effat College.

The second course is the Associate Diploma in Networking. The two-year course targets high school graduates and is a combination of computer science, Cisco and English courses. It provides the students with essential foundation in computing and networking. “Upon the completion of the program, students will have skills that open job opportunities for them in a number of fields,” said Dr. Iman Mohammed who is responsible for the courses. The courses began on Saturday, the registration will continue till Thursday.
