Almarai Profit Soars to SR279.2m

RIYADH, 13 October 2005 — Almarai announced a net profit of SR100.9 million in the third quarter of year 2005. The total profit of the company in the first nine months of the year reached SR279.2 million. The chairman of Almarai Company, prince Sultan ibn Muhammad ibn Saud, said that the positive results were due to continuous good performance by the company and its efficiency in managing its resources in a competitive market. Sales increased by 15.6 percent in the third quarter to reach SR547.6 million. The total sales for the first nine months reached SR1.54 billion.
