Seiko President Hattori Arrives

JEDDAH, 11 November 2005 — Seiko Watch Corporation President & Chief Executive Officer Shinji Hattori is currently on a tour of Saudi Arabia. His visit is hosted by Jeddah-based Al Hussaini & Al Yahya Trading Co., Seiko’s sole agent in the Kingdom, which has a network of branches in cities including Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, Dammam, Khamis Mushayt, Buraidah, Hofuf, Tabuk, Hafr Al-Batin, and Jizan.

Seiko was established in 1881. “For the last 124 years, its business philosophy has been to deliver precise time while improving accuracy and quality on the worldwide stage,” an executive of the Tokyo-based company said.

Seiko has over 40 years of active involvement in sports timing and sponsorship since the 1964 Tokyo Olympic Games including six Olympic Games, eight IAAF World Championships and hundreds of other international events and sports, from swimming to cycling and Paralympics.

The Musee d’Orsay in Paris was the venue for the worldwide launch of Seiko “Spring drive” recently, when Hattori announced the launch of the first spring drive watch.
