Injured Policeman Refused Treatment

RIYADH, 13 November 2005 — A private clinic in Riyadh refused to give medical assistance to traffic accident victims, including a policeman. After the accident, members of the public rushed the injured victims to the clinic which refused them help or treatment, even though the policeman was in uniform. The clinic’s justification was that they could not move the injured policeman from the car because of fears that moving him would worsen his injury. The policeman was taken to a hospital.
