Father Forgives Murderer of Two Sons

AL-QIRAYAT, 13 November 2005 — Ali Ghayedh Al-Sharari has forgiven Mohammad Al-Duweilan, the young man who killed his two sons, aged 7 and 9, as well as their first cousin who was also 7. Al-Watan reported that Al-Duweilan crashed into the children during a joyride at the end of Ramadan. Al-Sharari forgave the young man after learning that he was an orphan with no family at all. Al-Sharari said that his forgiveness ought to be a good reason for Al-Duweilan to change his ways.
