SR1.2bn to Develop Jamarat, Arafat

MAKKAH, 24 November 2005 — The Central Haj Committee held a meeting with Prince Abdul Majeed, the Makkah governor, to discuss preparations for Haj, Al-Watan newspaper reported. The committee discussed the services provided to pilgrims and ways to ensure that pilgrims perform the ritual in peace and comfort. The ministry allocated SR800 million for the first stage of developing and expanding the Jamarat area and SR400 million for services in Arafat.
