Pink RAZR Makes ME Debut

Leveraging the worldwide success of the Motorola RAZR V3 mobile, the Middle East and North Africa operations of Motorola have introduced a special-edition vibrant pink version of the popular handset.

In other geographies the celebrity response to the pink RAZR V3 has been tremendous, with stylemakers such as Gwen Stefani, Jessica Simpson and Paris Hilton quickly becoming “tickled pink” with the new edition. The new pink edition complements the thousands of silver and black RAZRs already in use across the region.

Enhanced 3D Graphics Software for Kids

Dassault Systemes’ Cosmic Blobs team, makers of powerful 3D graphics software for kids, has delivered new offerings that enhance the out-of-box Cosmic Blobs experience and help children aged 7-14 create mysterious medieval-themed worlds.

“Castles & Kingdoms,” the first full-fledged expansion pack for Cosmic Blobs, is available now. Castles & Kingdoms consists of more than 50 new medieval-themed 3D character models, decals and textures that give children everything they need to create their own medieval scenes. With this new Blob content, a child can make his Jester entertain the crowd with comical dance steps, or have her knight defend the village against a flying dragon. The expansion pack is available for $4.99 via download from the Cosmic Blobs website at www.cosmicblobs.com.

Also available now is Cosmic Blobs Version 1.2, an update to the original software program that introduces tool tips and an interactive introductory demo, both of which give children an optional headstart in learning how to create amazing 3D graphics in Cosmic Blobs. The introductory demo is a quick-start scenario that exposes new users to Cosmic Blobs and its three principal modes. Unlike movie-style demos, the Cosmic Blobs demo engages users in their first real commands. Both the introduction and tool tips features are available now in the Version 1.2 update, free for existing customers to download from the Cosmic Blobs website.

Throw Away That Old Sponge Mop

Get ready for a liberation from old-fashioned cleaning chores. iRobot (www.irobot.com) has unveiled the Scooba, a next generation robot, designed to clean hard surfaced floors automatically. The new robot builds on technological advances from the company’s iRobot Roomba Vacuuming Robot.

Scooba’s revolutionary cleaning process allows the robot to simultaneously vacuum, scrub and dry hard floors, all at the touch of a button. Unlike a conventional mop and bucket, the robot only uses fresh water and cleaning solution from a clean tank, so Scooba never spreads dirty water on the floor. Scooba cleans wet spills in addition to dirt and grime, and it is safe for use on all sealed hard floor surfaces, including wood and tile.

The cleaning robots from iRobot are already extremely popular with parents, pet owners and the cleaning challenged — people who have difficulty cleaning because of physical disability, medical conditions or age. Over 1.2 million units of the Roomba Robot have been sold. A limited number of the new Scooba Robotic Floor Washers are now available, with a larger distribution planned for first quarter of 2006.
