RIYADH, 7 December 2005 — Prince Faisal ibn Abdulrahman has been appointed Al-Nasr club president with a four-year term of office. The new president is expected to name new assistants and administration staff to develop and improve the club. Abdulrahman will call another meeting to discuss the club’s financial position and budget for next year.

MAKKAH, 7 December 2005 — The manager of the football team at Wehda Club in Makkah signed a new player from Morocco. The player’s name and other details were sent to the professional player’s department of the Saudi Football Federation. The total deal is worth $100,000.
Emergency Meeting
RIYADH, 7 December 2005 — The president of the Saudi Youth Welfare, Prince Sultan ibn Fahd, has ordered an emergency meeting at the headquarters in Riyadh to discuss the defeat against Iraq in third West Asian Games in Qatar. He ordered the team management to prepare a detailed report on why the team lost 5-1 against Iraq with a view to avoid further mistakes in the preparation stage for the 2006 World cup in Germany.
Ittihad Off to Japan
JEDDAH, 7 December 2005 — The reigning AFC Champions League title-holders Al-Ittihad will leave for Japan today from Kuala Lumpur where they spent a short period of time in training camp. While in the Malaysian capital, Ittihad played against a local team. Ittihad open their World Club Championship campaign against the champion of Egypt next Sunday.
