MADINAH, 13 December 2005 — Mohammad Abu Jabel, came from the bench to score a game-high 23 points to lead local favorites Al-Ohod of Madinah to a 55-41 win over Al-Wehda of Makkah in the Prince Faisal ibn Fahd Basketball Tournament here last night.

Ohod led Wehda 35-22 at the break.

The second-string Ohod avenged the team’s loss a day earlier.

Ohod, drowning on their deep bench strength, dominated the court with some incisive passes to score frequently.

Al-Hilal dented Al-Khaleej hopes by winning a huge 67-33 margin win over their lowly rivals in another match of the tournament. Hilal led Khaleej 32-17 at the interval. Bashir Ali, playing with some energy and spirit, was a thorn in Khaleej’s side by logging 15 more points for Hilal.

In the third match, Al-Qadisiya outscored Al-Nasr 77-47 in a completely one-side affair. Sementra was the main architect of Qadisiya’s win, shooting 16 points.
