HAFR AL-BATEN, 2 August 2006 — When a fight broke out between two bank customers and a security guard, bank employees shut the doors of the branch to hold people there until police could arrive, the Al-Yaum daily reported yesterday. The two customers agreed to hang around because they wanted to file a charge against the guard. However, other customers weren’t so comfortable with being detained and a riot nearly broke out inside the bank, as people were demanding to be allowed to leave. Police arrived just in time before a mutiny erupted.
