Nasr Team Head for Jordan

RIYADH, 3 January 2006 — Al-Nasr football team yesterday left for Amman to play an away match in the quarterfinals of the Arab Champions League against Al-Wehdat of Jordan. The first match between the two teams ended 1-1 in Riyadh two weeks ago. Nasr has to win or draw 2-2 or more in order to qualify. Prince Faisal ibn Abdulrahman, president of Nasr club, is accompanying the team to boost morale. The match will take place on Saturday.

Ittihad to Sign Deal With Radi

RIYADH, 3 January 2006 — Al-Ittihad football club is to sign with Khaled Radi, an Al-Riyadh goalkeeper, a five-year contract. The deal with Radi, 23, will cost Ittihad SR.1.3 million in addition to housing and a car.

Abood May Leave Ittifaq Club

DAMMAM, 3 January 2006 — Saad Al-Abood, the star player of Al-Ittifaq club, has received a lucrative offer of SR1.2 million from Al-Ittihad and Al-Hilal to join them. Abdulaziz Dossary, the president of Ittifaq club, said the club is still in negotiations with Abood.
