RIYADH, 12 August 2006 — Police in Ahsa are investigating the drowning of a 63-year-old Saudi in a water tank on his farm in the village of Batalia. According to Al-Watan, officials at the Mabraz town hospital informed local police that the sexagenarian’s relatives brought the man to hospital. Police sources said that man’s sons had found their father floating in a tank. Police are waiting for the coroner’s report. The tank is reported to be 1.2 meter deep, 24 square meter in size and with only 80 cm of water.
Body of Saudi Youth Found in Dammam
ABQAIQ, 12 August 2006 — The body of a Saudi youth, thought to be in his 30s, was found by traffic police on the Dammam and Abqaiq Road on Wednesday. A gun and drugs were also found on the body. A preliminary report issued by the police and a coroner indicated that the man had shot himself using the gun. Police have not established the reason behind the suspected suicide, reported Al-Watan.
