Al-Anqari Relieved of His Duties

JEDDAH, 15 January 2006 — Ibrahim ibn Abdullah Al-Anqari, personal adviser of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, has been relieved of his post upon his request, a Royal Court statement said yesterday. “Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah has approved Al-Anqari’s request to relieve him of his duties,” the Saudi Press Agency quoted the decree as saying.

In another decree, King Abdullah appointed Nabeel Ameen Mulla as director general of the Saudi Arabian Standards Organization (SASO).

Meanwhile, King Abdullah and Crown Prince Sultan received Eid Al-Adha greetings from world leaders including presidents of Bangladesh, Mauritania, Eritrea and Palestine.
