Porsche MEA moves ahead with the Cayman S launch program across the Middle East region by introducing the mid-engine sports coupe in Saudi Arabia. The move follows on the footsteps of the car launch in other markets as the new Cayman S progresses to be available through each of Porsche’s 16 markets across the MEA and subcontinent regions. “The huge popularity of Porsche in the Kingdom and its sheer size of the market has resulted in performance figures we can really be proud of,” Tim Trenker, regional operations manager of Porsche MEA said highlighting the significance of the Cayman S launch in the Saudi market. In the 2004-05 financial year, a total of 486 vehicles were sold, marking an increase of 23 percent on the previous year. “This reflects the supreme confidence Saudi sports car aficionados have in whatever holds the legendary Porsche emblem, and emphasizes the remarkable achievements accomplished by SAMACO Automotive to promote the brand. All the prerequisites of success are within our grasp to bolster Porsche’s status in the Kingdom as manufacturer of the most desirable sports cars in the world,” he added.
