JEDDAH, 20 January 2006 — All four teams will be in action when the LG friendly soccer tournament kicks off tomorrow at the Prince Faisal ibn Fahd Stadium in Riyadh.
Prince Sultan ibn Fahd, president of the General Presidency of Youth Welfare, is expected to attend the opening day along with his deputy Prince Nawaf ibn Faisal.
Host team Saudi Arabia face Finland in the second game of the twinbill at 8 p.m. South Korea battle Greece at 4:40 p.m.
For the Kingdom and South Korea the four-nation event will serve as part of their buildup for the 2006 World Cup in Germany next summer.
The Saudis enter the tournament fresh from 1-1 draw against Sweden in the international friendly played on Wednesday. Stadium manager Muhammad Al-Otaibi said all preparations have been made at the tournament venue.
