Emaar Launches Fifth Waterfront Tower

DUBAI, 21 August 2006 — Emaar Properties expands its portfolio of luxury waterfront residential projects with the launch of its fifth Marina Promenade tower, The Aurora, at Dubai Marina, one of the world’s finest master-planned waterfronts and the most preferred living destination for homeowners and investors in the region. Emaar also continues its partnership with Amlak Finance, the company’s home finance subsidiary, to offer easy finance for potential investors in The Aurora, which features 115 new residential units. BDC Announces New Driving Instructor Plan

DUBAI, 21 August 2006 — Belhasa Driving Center (BDC), one of the premier driving institutes in the UAE, has announced the launch of the Driving Instructor Training Program (DITP), the Middle East’s first of its kind program that aims to further enhance the skills of driving instructors in the region through a comprehensive and scientifically-designed training course. The DITP is open to driving instructors from all over the Middle East, who upon successfully completing the course, will be certified as a Belhasa Approved Driving Instructor (BADI). All tutors providing training to the driving instructors as part of the DITP have been trained as per the UK Government system on the “Train the Trainer” course. Another factor that is expected to contribute to the success of the DITP is that the program is supervised by Adam Kechil, director of Training at BDC, who is a renowned expert on driver training and road safety. Saif Ahmed Belhasa, chairman and managing director, BDC, said, “We have moved a step higher by introducing the region’s first training program designed for driving instructors.”

SNTTA’s Sales Exceed Forecasts

SHARJAH, 21 August 2006 — Sharjah National Travel & Tourist Agency (SNTTA), one of the leading travel companies in the region and a member of the Dubai-based Liberty Investment Company, said its sales had exceeded forecasts and was boosted by over 25 percent increase in leisure travel alone, over the corresponding period last year. A senior official from SNTTA pointed out that while corporate travel maintained a healthy growth, the leisure travel has seen the largest increase. “Leisure trips for the entire family to affordable exotic destinations is proving increasingly popular among the UAE residents,” commented Zafar Imam, general manager of SNTTA-Sharjah. SNTTA-Sharjah also announced that it had successfully concluded its 90-day “Fly Free Anywhere, Win Back Your Airfare” promotion which gave its retail customers the opportunity to win back the entire ticket amount if purchased from any of their participating outlets.
