JEDDAH, 9 February 2006 — The first “Woman and Child Exhibition” will take place in the Al-Sultan Hall of the Jeddah Intercontinental Hotel Feb. 15-16. Wedding coordinators Saudi Afrah Establishment are to organize the exhibition.

“The expo will be a unique opportunity to combine companies that have products related to women and children in one place,” said Nihad Al-Sulaimani, general manager of Saudi Afrah.

Princess Sarah Al-Angari, wife of Makkah Gov. Prince Abdul Majeed, will inaugurate the expo. The two-day event will include lectures on child care, feeding, postpartum depression and other important mother-child issues.

There will be an educational corner aimed at wholesome entertainment and an information corner for exploring children’s different skills. Visitors can buy various related products from the sales department, but the expo does not concentrate solely on the commercial, said Sereen Futaih, the expo’s manager.

Saudi Afrah is a wedding events company founded in 2001 aimed at providing brides-to-be and their families assistance to coordinate the often-complicated process of planning such an important event.

Women and children are invited to attend the expo from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and from 6 p.m. until 10:30 p.m. Tickets are SR40 for adults and SR20 for children.
