DAMMAM, 14 February 2006 — A man learned a hard lesson about being polite to panhandlers, the Al-Yaum daily reported. The lesson began when a woman approached the man, who was in his car at a stoplight, asking for spare change. The man began yelling invectives at the woman. She responded by demanding an apology. The man not only refused, but also got out of his car and puffed his chest. Three other women beggars who were watching the argument rushed to the assistance of their friend. The four women began beating up the man. Bystanders had to rush to the assistance of the man, whose chest wasn’t nearly as puffed after receiving a beggars’ whipping.
