RIYADH, 24 April 2006 - Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, chairman of Kingdom Holding Company met with Chinese President Hu Jintao during his two-day visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The two met at the Royal Guest Palace in Riyadh on Saturday.
During the meeting the two discussed social and economic issues, and the bi-lateral relationship between their respective countries. Also on the agenda of discussions between the Chinese president and Prince Alwaleed were the prince's investments in China that include three Four Seasons hotels and Citigroup. "We have significant investments in China and will continue to invest where there is growth," said Prince Alwaleed.
Prince Alwaleed was recently quoted in Forbes in support of more investment in China, saying, "No Doubt capital will have to go where the growth is...So Saudi Arabian money, Gulf money is going there."
