ABIR II to Be Released at ASF

DUBAI, 24 November 2006 — The second edition of the Arab Business Intelligence Report (ABIR II) will be released at the Arab Strategy Forum from Dec. 4-6 in Dubai, it was announced yesterday. More than 550 top business leaders from across the Arab world have participated in the ABIR II, an increase from the 140 of its first edition, as a result of the renewed partnership between Moutamarat and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). The report is the most comprehensive analysis of business opinion in the region and is rapidly becoming the most authoritative indicator of trend lines and future business direction.

Edward W. Kelley Opens Office in Dubai

DUBAI, 24 November 2006 — Edward W. Kelley & Partners Limited announced that it has opened a new office in Dubai as a hub to meet increasing client demands in the Arabian Gulf states and the Middle East overall. At the same time, the firm announced it has opened an office in Helsinki (Finland), and will also open an office in San Francisco (United States) in January to enhance its existing capabilities in Northern California. “These are all planned developments in the continuation of our global growth strategy,” said Ed Kelley, chief executive officer.

Agility Wins Four Awards

DUBAI, 24 November 2006 — Agility (formerly PWC Logistics) won four major awards at the Middle East Logistics Awards (MELA) 2006. The MELA awards were held for the first time as a celebration of performance excellence in the logistics industry. Agility was nominated in four categories for the company awards and was voted the best in all. These included Best Road Hauler (Best Land Transport Company), Best Land Freight Forwarder and Best Logistics Service Provider in 3PL and perishable goods. Basem Chbaklo, Agility’s deputy managing director for the Middle East region received the awards from Ram Menen, senior vice president, Emirates Skycargo, on behalf of the group.
