RIYADH, 13 June 2006 — The Riyadh Governorate yesterday elaborated the measures being taken by police to find Ebtihal bint Sultan Al-Motairy, a three-year-old girl who has been missing since April 5, and urged the public to extend their full cooperation in the search.
“The security officers have been dealing with this case with utmost responsibility considering the condition of the girl’s parents and relatives. They had carried out a massive search for the girl in her neighborhood in Majmaa soon after her brother informed them that she was missing,” the governorate said in its statement.
Police searched all buildings, markets and public gardens in the area before expanding the search outside Majmaa.
The search also focused on beggars and their accompanying children. “Riyadh police announced cash awards to those who give information leading to the girl,” the governorate said.
