RIYADH, 14 June 2006 — Saeed Al-Muntafiq, the chief executive of Tatweer, an affiliate of Dubai Holding, held talks here yesterday with Dr. Azzam M. Al-Dakhil, executive vice president of the Saudi Research & Marketing Group (SRMG) and chairman of Moutamarat, on developing ways of strengthening cooperation.

“The talks focused on activating Moutamarat, a joint venture by Tatweer and the Saudi Research & Publishing Company (SRPC), by carrying out a number of new projects and making use of the region’s economic development,” an official statement said. Moutamarat was established last year to manage conferences and exhibitions in the Arab world.

Muntafiq and Dakhil reviewed Moutamarat’s achievements over the past year and assessed its activities in both Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. According to Dakhil, the partnership reflected the shared vision of SRPC and Dubai Holding concerning “the central role that knowledge will play in driving the development of the region forward.”
