RIYADH, 29 July 2006 — A Saudi teen sent his older brother to the hospital after assaulting him with a stick over disputes in stock gains, the daily Al-Yaum reported yesterday. The older brother had used his family ID card to buy stocks in the King Abdullah Economic City development project, but after he received the profits from the investment he refused to share the dividends with the family because he wanted to use the money to pay off some personal debt. The younger brother, demanded he share the profits, an argument ensued and soon he hit his elder sibling on the head. The elder brother was admitted to a local hospital and treated for head injuries. In another incident reported by the Okaz daily yesterday, a husband and wife divorced after they bickered over the wife having bought stocks in a development project without telling her husband.
