AMMAN, 2 November 2006 - Representatives for 30 Jordanian companies will meet in London next week with executives of 120 British firms to discuss the prospects of enhancing British investments in Jordan and fostering trade links between Jordanian and British businesses, officials said yesterday.
The event entitled "Investment Opportunities in Jordan" will be organized by the Jordan Investment Board (JIB), the Royal Court's Economic Department and the Arab British Chamber of Commerce (ABCC), the JIB's CEO Maan Ensour said. "The seminar will help introduce Jordanian business opportunities to British companies in key sectors," Ensour said. "We will promote investment in sectors where we have a competitive edge such as tourism, IT and telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, electronics and electrical appliances, automotive and spare parts industries as well as banking and financial services," he added.
