The Driver Who Didn’t Want Truck With Police

MAKKAH, 11 July 2006 — A truck driver here attracted the suspicion of police after he sped away when traffic police asked him to stop. While carrying out routine checks for proper vehicle registration and license, the policemen were astonished when the truck sped away the Okaz daily reported. Following a police-chase the driver was finally caught near a market on Al-Laith Road. On interrogation, police learned that the truck driver had stolen the truck and had not stopped because he thought police were looking for him.
