Suicidal Girl Saved, No Thanks to Her Pop

TAIF, 16 July 2006 — Police here are investigating an incident where a girl attempted suicide by taking an overdose of an undisclosed medication, the daily Okaz reported yesterday. Police arrived after receiving a phone call about an attempted suicide to find a man standing at the doorsteps of the house with a knife. He threatened anyone who entered to save his daughter. Authorities approached the man with their guns raised and managed to overtake him. The man was cuffed and put in the police car. The cops entered the house to find the girl in a near-death state from taking medication found in the bathroom. The girl was taken to a local emergency room where she was saved.
