Mobily Discounts SMS 50 Percent

RIYADH, 22 July 2006 — As part of its summer program under the title “Summer with Mobily is Different,” Mobily has reduced the rate of SMS by half for all its customers in the prepaid and postpaid packages, for 10 days, starting at 1:00 a.m. Sunday. With this new discounted tariff, the local SMS from Mobily to any mobile customer, including the other operator, will cost 12.5 halalas instead of 25 halalas, and the cost of an international SMS to anywhere in the world will be 25 halalas instead of 50 halalas. The use of text messaging usually has an increasing demand during Eid and Haj holidays.
