ASIR, 24 July 2006 — A bride here seems to have got cold feet when it came to turning up at her own wedding. The groom, guests and bridesmaids had all arrived. But where was the bride? Standing at the door of the wedding hall was the groom with a cheesy grin on his face welcoming his guests and counting the minutes when he could finally be alone with his bride. The honeymoon period had started a little bit earlier for this groom who was in a daze and a little oblivious of the fact that his bride had not turned up in the ladies section of the wedding hall. As the minutes and then hours ticked along the groom sat around smiling at his guests with a cringing feeling at the back of his mind that something was not right. It was then that the bride telephoned and citing various reasons, called off the wedding. The smiling groom was not available for comment.
