JEDDAH, 20 August 2006 — A mobile team from the Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah will be visiting Bisha on Aug. 24 and 25 to provide passport, labor and other consular-related services to Filipinos residing in the city and nearby towns.
Consul General Pendosina N. Lomondot will be leading the team, which will also process applications for those who wish to sign up to be able to participate in the next Philippine national election.
Lomondot urged Filipinos 18 years old and above who are not yet registered as absentee voters to meet the consular team and sign up.
The last day of this second registration under the Philippine Overseas Absentee Voting (OAV) law is on Aug. 31.
Last weekend, Consul General Lomondot also led a team to the holy city of Madinah for a similar mission.
In Bisha, the consular team will hold office at Ragdan Durat Hotel. Bisha lies to the east of Al-Baha and the main Asir mountain range south of Jeddah.
