JEDDAH, 11 September 2006 — Saudi Aramco has discovered a new gas field in the Eastern Province with a daily capacity of 16.2 million cubic feet of gas, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Ali Al-Naimi announced yesterday. Speaking to Saudi Press Agency, the minister said the new Al-Kassab-1 field was located 50 kms south of Al-Ghawar field. The Kingdom has natural gas reserves of 238 trillion cubic feet and has been producing about 2.12 trillion cubic feet a year since 2003.

JEDDAH — A 16-member Pakistani trade delegation will visit Saudi Arabia from Sept. 11-14.
