MEIS Students Excel in IGCSE Exams

RIYADH, 12 September 2006 — The Middle East International School had a grand success for the academic year 2005-2006. Of the 59 students who appeared for the IGCSE examination, 98 percent of them scored grades between A* and C, 57 percent scored grades between A* and A. Fizza Mobasher got six A*’s in IGCSE papers and two A’s in GCE papers while Salwa Mohd Sultan got seven A*’s in IGCSE papers. The other top scorers were Asim Khalid Farooq, Hamza Tariq Khan, Usman Munawer Pasha, Hania Shahid, Saad Najaf Khan, Maha Afaq Ahmed, Jawairia Zarrar, Maham Ali, Fuzail Bin Tanveer, Salma Ghulam and Hira Ishtiaq. Principal Tabassum Farooqi thanked Mrs. Jyothi, the supervisor of the IGCSE section, and the staff, for their contribution to the school’s success.

A cultural program marked the celebration of India’s 60th Independence Day by Jeddah-based Indian Cultural Society and Bazm-e-Osmania recently. The ICS is celebrating India’s Independence Day with full patriotic fervor for the last 30 years.
