DUBAI, 23 September 2006 — Honda’s largest showroom in the world was opened at Dubai Festival City recently.
Present at the launch was Omar Al-Futtaim, CEO of the Al-Futtaim Group and Shigeru Takagi, managing director and chief operating officer for regional operations (Europe, the Middle East and Africa) Honda Motor Co. Ltd. along with senior management from the Al-Futtaim Group and Honda Motor Corporation.
Situated at the Automotive Park in Dubai Festival City, the new Trading Enterprises — Honda showroom, an Al-Futtaim Group company, is designed to accommodate over 40 display vehicles plus motorcycles and power equipment, providing customers a relaxed and spacious environment to see the latest innovations from Honda. In addition to a large customer parking area, the showroom boasts a host of other facilities such as on-site finance approvals and vehicle registration. Covering a total floor area of 6,226 square meters, the new Honda showroom showcases Honda’s entire range of products including cars, motorcycles, power products and outboard engines.

This showroom adds further prestige to the automotive park in Dubai Festival City and sets greater standards for the automotive market in the UAE.” Highlighting the origin of the Honda brand whilst celebrating the official opening of the showroom, special entertainment was organized at the showroom which included the beautifully choreographed Nihonbuyo (Japanese dance) and the traditional Japanese tea ceremony that was performed by members from “Katsumikai”, a group of Geishas from Kyoto in Japan.
