MADINAH, 26 September 2006 — Three people died and 24 were injured in an accident involving a bus on the Hijra Road, some 175 kilometers from Madinah, yesterday morning.
The Saudi Red Crescent received report of the accident at 8 a.m. Eight ambulance teams rushed to the location to attend to the injured and transfer them to a local hospital.
Dr. Adel Al-Gain, general manager of the Red Crescent in Madinah, visited the scene of the crash.
The injured were transferred to the King Fahd Hospital in Madinah. According to reports, all the victims were of Syrian nationality.
