RIYADH, 30 September 2006 — Al-Rajhi Bank has announced to offer a package of 13 services on the lowest charges in a renewed move to attract customers and grab more share of the growing remittance and exchange market of the Kingdom.
“Those customers, who hold our VIP card or become members of Tahweel Al-Rajhi centers, will be privileged to avail these services,” said Sami H. Al-Rajhi, chief of Tahweel Al-Rajhi, here yesterday.
Sami said that a program to enlist customers for Tahweel Al-Rajhi centers had already been launched. The services to be offered as part of the package on the lowest charges include express remittance worldwide, Cash On-Line to be delivered within two hours, Cash Click to be delivered within moments, demand draft checks in different currencies, travelers checks in different currencies, national remittance and gift bonanza for every customer.
“The package of service also includes remittance between local banks, best exchange rates, quicker service for all transactions, use of Internet and ATMs for remittance, largest correspondent banks’ network, easy cancellation and follow-up besides a team of highly-professional staff to serve customers,” said the Tahweel chief. He said that more than 100 Tahweel centers have been geared to offer the services. These 100 centers include 30 new Al-Rajhi centers to be opened by the end of this year. Sami also pointed that “Our center in Olaya business district in Riyadh is now equipped to offer Cash Click service, which is currently available for India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Pakistan, Sudan, Morocco, Yemen, Jordan and Syria.” “Cash Click” service ensures delivery of funds to the beneficiaries within a few seconds.
Referring to the community initiatives taken by Tahweel Al-Rajhi recently, Sami said that Tahweel Al-Rajhi has “sponsored a big event at King Abdul Aziz Medical City, Riyadh.”
“The last few weeks saw Tahweel Al-Rajhi’s active participation on special events held at KAAMC compound. First, we became the major sponsor of the 10th Riyadh Inter-Hospital Volley ball tournament which was witnessed by more than 1,000 expatriates from the participating hospital teams,” he said.
This sports event was followed by Tahweel Al-Rajhi participation in the Saudi-Indian Bazaar, which was also held at KAAMC. These two events also provided a platform for Tahweel Al-Rajhi to introduce their banking and remittance products. Representatives from various banks in the Philippines and India together with a large number of Saudi and expatriate guests came forward to inquire about Tahweel’s remittance services for their respective countries.
