Search for Woman in Eighth Month

MAKKAH, 3 October 2006 — The search for a woman who went missing after leaving the house to go to a neighborhood shop has entered its eighth month, the daily Al-Watan reported yesterday. Police have exhausted all leads after scouting local hospitals and the local morgue.

The woman had gone out to pick up items for her daughter’s wedding that was planned for two months from the time the woman disappeared. The marriage was postponed in hopes of finding the mother.
