DUBAI, 8 October 2006 — The Westminster School was granted the Cambridge International Fellowship Center (CIFC) status, a prestigious honor bestowed upon only a handful of schools worldwide. This special status underlines the school’s proven track record of excellence.
The CIFC status is awarded to an educational institution that has shown exemplary practice in the conduct of examinations, quality of teaching.
The award will allow the Westminster School to choose a student from its center planning to attend higher education to win a scholarship worth £1,000 a year over three years. The Westminster School gets the opportunity to nominate any student who has performed best in the November 2005/June 2006 Cambridge A Level or AS examinations. The school will have the right to use the newly acquired title in their Cambridge logo.
The Westminster School will also receive many benefits, such as Amazon vouchers of varying denominations to distribute to worthy students and certificates for students ranked in top positions at any O Level, IGCSE or A/AS Level subject.
