JEDDAH, 10 October 2006 — After 15 days of daily floodlit matches the 2nd National Commercial Bank Ramadan annual soccer tournament reaches a climax on Friday when Abdulkhaliq Saeed Company and Al-Jandoul Company clash in the final at the Al-Ahli Stadium in Rehab district here.
Abdulkhaliq Saeed advanced into the final with an almost clinical display in their 6-3 semifinal victory over NCB second team on Sunday.
Ahmed Moussa scored the first two goals for Abdulkhaliq Saeed, Mohammed Babbu added two more to go with a marker each from Yehya Moussa and Hamad Asseri.
Striker Hussain Daghriri scored NCB’s first two goals and Majid Al-Amoudi netted the third.
Al-Jandoul secured the second final spot by beating Hatco 2-0 in the second semifinal on goals from Mohammed Shalihayh and Naif Al-Khaibari. Mohammed Abdulkhaliq Saeed, president of Saeed team, said that he is proud of the performance of his boys. He said he will reward his team for reaching the final of one of Jeddah’s best tournaments.
According to finance committee chief Feras Al-Turki a cash prize of SR40, 000 awaits the first place winner of the tournament.
Also, second place will receive SR20, 000, best player SR 3, 000, best scorer SR3, 000 and best goalkeeper SR3, 000. Twelve teams participated in this tournament. Mohammed Aboud Al-Amoudi, NCB (first team), Safaa and Al-Raqqi Card make up the teams in Group A. Abdulkhaliq Saeed Company, Al-Serafi Mega Mall, Al-Khair Company and Saab Company of Mansour Al-Balawi are bracketed in Group B, while NCB (second team), Hatco Telecommunications, Al-Jandoul Company and Mohammed Yousif Naghi Co. LG comprise Group C.
