JUBAIL, 21 November 2006 — A British national was stabbed inside a shop at a gas station in Jubail yesterday. His condition is stable, the Saudi Press Agency reported, quoting the director of police in the Eastern Province.

Police were able to arrest the attacker within minutes. Neither the Briton nor his assailant was identified. “The Briton was taken to hospital by Saudis who were present at the site,” the police chief said, adding that his injuries were not life-threatening.
