JEDDAH, 20 December 2006 — The construction of a new building for the Pakistani Consulate here will start soon and is likely to be completed within a year and a half once the bidding process is completed, Pakistan’s Consul General Masood Akhtar told reporters on Monday.
“A team of experts will arrive here from Pakistan after Eid Al-Adha to survey the chosen site and submit its report. After that, builders will be invited to offer bids,” he said. Speaking about Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz’s recent visit to the Kingdom, Masood said the overwhelming reception given to the prime minister speaks volumes of the excellent relations between the two countries.
