The Ministry of Health urgently needs to check to ensure that its hospitals are fully manned with cardiologists and psychiatrists. It also needs to attract an additional number of psychologists, neurologists and sociologists. This extra staff must work in special units to be established at all hospitals alongside the surgery and ICU units in a newly-established division called “Stock Division” dedicated to the increasing numbers of Saudi stock brokers who have gone bust.
At the same time, the Ministry of Social Services needs to energize itself and train all of its employees to visit people’s homes looking for individuals with unsolved problems. The committee responsible for reconciling between people must double its efforts and work day and night.
This period of time will immortalize throughout history like many previous deadly occurrences of the past. The future generations will always remember the catastrophe that befell the Saudi stock market in the “Great Crash of 06.”
The financial status of many people these days is heartbreaking. Some people had a few extra riyals and wanted to make a profit and others saved some of their income to try their luck hoping that the stock market would increase their chances of living a better life. All of these investors ended up penniless.
Saudi society went through a calamity that turned everything upside down. Many individuals live in a state of hallucination not believing what happened although what has happened is neither mysterious nor in need of Einstein’s intelligence to understand.
These crises don’t happen randomly. There has to be an organized mafia masterminding the tactics. This is especially easy since there is an absence of justice and regulations. Leaders of the ‘mafia’ shareholders are aligned with major banks to suck the blood out of simple, poor and naive citizens. And where are the authorities? I believe they have teamed up with the unscrupulous ‘stock mafia’; how else could the Saudi stock market crisis still exist?
We are a nation that experiences struggles. At different periods of time we’re the subject of much gossip for one reason or the other. This time the world is still watching what is happening to us and I do not think they understand that it is all part of our great history.
