MAKKAH, 14 January 2007 — The Abdul Latif Jameel (ALJ) Fund for Small Projects and the General Organization for Technical Education and Vocational Training (GOTEVOT), signed in Jeddah on Thursday an agreement to jointly undertake various small trade projects to benefit the unemployed young men and women in various regions of the Kingdom.

Ali Al-Ghofais, governor of GOTEVOT, Adil Fakieh, mayor of Jeddah, and Muhammad Jameel, president of the Abdul Latif Jameel Community Services Programs were present at the occasion, an ALJ press release said.

According to the agreement, both the ALJ Fund and the Small Establishments Development Center, a subsidiary of GOTEVOT, will jointly organize various job-training programs.
