AL-JOUF, 9 February 2007 — The Saudi Society for Administration will hold a forum with the participation of domestic, regional and international experts in the field of human resource development at the King Faisal Conference Hall in the Inter.Continental Hotel in Riyadh Feb. 26-28, according to Abdullah ibn Jalawi Al-Shadadi, chairman of the society.
Riyadh Governor Prince Salman will attend the forum titled “Creativity and Excellence for Administrative Excellence”.
The forum aims at the development of the human resources in the Kingdom with discussions and the exchange of new ideas in the field of management and administration in the international arena. The society also aims at providing ample opportunities for Saudi administrators to communicate with their counterparts from other parts of the world.
The participants include Michael Marquardt, professor of human resource development at the department of Counseling and Human and Organizational Studies at George Washington University in the United States.
Some of regional figures who will read papers at the forum include Aur Al-Mansour, president of the College of Electronics for Quality in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Ali Al-Hammadi, president of the Creative Thinking Center in the UAE, and former Jeddah Mayor Abdullah Al-Muallami.
Al-Shadadi said the forum is just one of the series of conferences the society plans to organize in the year with the aim of exploring the latest developments in the field of administration locally, regionally and internationally.
The society will also arrange several workshops to develop the skills of the workers in the public and private sectors besides enabling to adopt the new changes and developments accompanying the rapid international developments, he said.
